Requirements
Requirements for Companies
- Companies must be a manufacturing business (as defined by SIC
code). Other companies may qualify: Corporate HQ, Hotel/Resort
destinations, prepackaged software and entertainment companies.
- Company must pay into the California Unemployment Insurance
Fund and be issued a California Employee Account Number (CEAN)
or State Payroll Tax ID number.
Requirements for trainee candidates:
- Trainees must work full-time (min of 35 hours per week) and
be employed for at least 90 days.
- Trainees must earn a minimum wage ranging from $11.34 to $12.37/hour
depending on the county of employment and must receive health
benefits.
* Minimum wages must be effective upon the
completion of the 90-day retention period. Other restrictions may
apply.
